The Valley, not as well as being famous for its delicious apples and famous for its excellent ski facilities, For all mountaineering enthusiasts the mountainous area of the Maddalene offers impressive crossings for Alpine skiing. The “Passo Mendola” has excellent ski lifts such as “Golf courses Mezzavia chairlift”. Chairlift Monte Nock in Ruffre locality. These lead to the mountain top Roen 1596 meters, from which descend about 5km of ski slopes. The districts also have a Fanny Park, where the children can have fun in the snow.
The cross country skiing center “ Regole Paradiso” offers charming night descents, while for lovers of cross country ski the Predaia plateau has beautiful slopes served by modern lifts. Famous and unique is the snowshoing race ( Ciaspolada) a race with snowshoes that every year attracts thousands of athletes and tuorists. This sporting activity allows wonderfull walks through the cloaked nature of snow, well-marked trails and away from the ski slopes, in pristine tracks.
